three to five minutes either
before the first time you use
it or after a long period of
non-use of your unit.

using your built-in
rechargeable batteries.
3. Hold the unit parallel
to the ground and pull the
RIP CORD. To achieve a par-
tial charge, pull the RIP
CORD approximately 80
times in one minute. Please
note, keep the unit parallel
and pull RIP CORD straight.
Your Forever Flashlight
Rip Cord includes two great
options to charge your unit.
For directions on each
option see right:
It is charged by pulling
the RIP CORD on the unit.
Your RIP CORD is located in
the rear of the flashlight
under the RUBBER BACK
COVER. For best results, fol-
low these steps in charging:
NOTES:
Important. It is sug-
gested that pulling the RIP
CORD should not be allowed
to go past the red color of
the cord. This will damage
the unit and not allow for
maximum electricity.
The charge will not be
effective, if the RIP CORD is
pulled at an angle greater
than 30º (see Diagram 1,
page 6).
1. Turn the unit off.
Diagram 1
• While pulling the RIP
CORD of the Forever
Flashlight Rip Cord, an
indicator light will be on.
This will signify that the
charging is in the process.
Pull the RIP CORD at a
speed of approximately 80
times per minute. This will
provide 20-30 minutes of
flashlight light and one
minute of cell phone time.
The pulling force for the RIP
CORD must be constant and
of moderate speed.

Important. It is suggested that pulling
the RIP CORD should not be allowed to
go past the red color of the cord. This will
damage the unit and not allow for
maximum electricity.

If your unit is com-
properly. The recommended
pull speed would be 80
pulls per minute.
This energy saving light
uses minimal power con-
sumption. To use the flash-
light, first, set the LIGHT
SWITCH to either LIGHT/OFF/
SIREN/BLINK. The choice
between LIGHT, OFF, SIREN,
and BLINK, will adjust the
features of the flashlight.
Charging your
cell phone
pletely drained of energy,
you should pull the RIP
CORD again three to five
minutes. Keep in mind, that
if the Forever Flashlight
Rip Cord has not been uti-
lized for a long length of
time, it will cause the bat-
tery life to be shorter than
normal even after recharg-
ing.
Your Forever Flashlight
Rip Cord also has a great
additional feature –you can
charge your cell phone (or
other electrical items with
low voltage) anywhere you
are located. For best results,
follow these steps in charg-
ing your phone:
Charging your unit
using an AC/DC
adaptor.
Simply turn off your unit
and use your DC INPUT
JACK located on the side of
your unit, connect an
AC/DC adaptor cord and
then plug into an electrical
outlet. Your built-in batter-
ies will be fully charged
within three hours. Do not
leave plugged into an outlet
for more than 24 hours.
This will damage your
internal rechargeable batter-
ies.
The LIGHT switch will
allow a super bright 5 LEDS
light to brighten your path.
1. Pull your Forever
Flashlight Rip Cord for one
minute prior to plugging
your phone charge cord in.
In this case, recharge the
battery by pulling the RIP
CORD for three to five min-
utes. This will allow the
internal rechargeable bat-
tery to reactivate and charge
completely.
The SIREN switch will
allow a loud emergency
siren signal. At the same
time this will allow the LED
light to BLINK. What a great
feature for when you are in
need of help.
2. Connect the phone
charge cable into the DC
OUTLET JACK. This is locat-
ed on the side of the unit.
See page 4 for the location
of the CELL PHONE CHARG-
ING OUTPUT.

3. Plug the other end of
your phone charge cord into
your personal cell phone.
This can provide up to
two minutes of talking time
with this process. The
phone’s cell life can also be
extended by continuing the
pulling the RIP CORD during
the phone’s use.

magnetic field that surrounds it. Keep the unit at least one
foot away from medical devices, computers, magnetic
storage media, or other devices such as:
