IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS  
– Important! –  
Immediately Check for Loose Lamps  
When using your overhead projector, basic safety precau-  
tions should always be followed, including the following:  
Open top stage by pressing the release tab located on  
the mast side of the stage. Check to see that the lamps  
are fully inserted into the socket and correctly aligned.  
Never touch the lamp with your bare skin. Do not get  
skin oil on the bulb. Hold lamp with tissue, paper, cloth  
or other clean object.  
1. Read and understand all instructions before using.  
2. Close supervision is necessary when any projector is  
used by or near children. Do not leave projector  
unattended while in use.  
3. Care must be taken as burns can occur from touch-  
ing hot parts.  
Electrical Safety Grounding Instructions  
This Class I product uses a three-wire power cord that  
grounds the product for your protection. Do not DEFEAT  
or REMOVE the grounding pin. If an extension cord is  
used, it must also be a three-wire type with an ampere  
rating equal or greater than the product’s rating. The plug  
must be connected to a properly grounded three-terminal  
power receptacle. Connection to any other type of recep-  
tacle should be done only by a qualified electrician in  
accordance with local and/or national electrical codes.  
4. Do not operate projector with a damaged cord or if  
the projector has been dropped or damaged — until it  
has been examined by a qualified service technician.  
5. Position the cord so that it will not be tripped over, be  
pulled or contact hot surfaces.  
6. If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a  
current rating at least equal to that of the projector  
should be used. Cords rated for less amperage than  
the projector may overheat.  
Operation  
7. Always unplug projector from electrical outlet before  
cleaning and servicing and when not in use. Never  
yank cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp plug and pull  
to disconnect.  
The projector features a folding mast. The mast can be  
lowered by pulling the release knob located at the bottom  
pivot assembly.  
8. Let projector cool completely before putting away.  
9. To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not  
immerse this projector in water or other liquids.  
10. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disas-  
semble this projector, but take it to a qualified service  
technician when some service or repair work is  
required. Incorrect reassembly can cause electric  
shock when the projector is used subsequently.  
11. The use of an accessory attachment not recom-  
mended by  
the manufacturer may cause a risk of fire, electric  
shock or injury to persons.  
12. Connect this projector to a grounded outlet.  
13. Disconnect this unit from its source of supply before  
replacing the projection lamp.  
The power switch is located on the front of the unit.  
The stage can be opened by pressing the release tab  
located on the mast side of the stage.  
Be sure vent area are not blocked.  
There is a thermal switch to prevent overheating.  
The lamp changer is operated by rotating the knob on the  
front of the unit.  
To prevent damage to good lamps, only use the changer  
after lamps have cooled.  
Cleaning  
Use a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dust from stage glass  
and projection lens. Lens cleaner may be used on these  
components.  
Additional lamp safeguards: never handle lamps with bare  
fingers; periodically inspect lamps, when they’re turned off,  
for signs of blistering or blackening; insure proper action of  
the cooling system; turn off the projector immediately if the  
image becomes abnormally dim; never operate a projector  
with the lamp housing open; and make sure that the lamp  
itself is properly seated.  
For mirrors, use a soft brush to remove dirt.  
Lamp Replacement  
2000/2200 lumen projectors use a 360 Watt EYB lamp,  
Dukane part number 456-186. WARNING! Lamp and  
adjacent parts are HOT. Allow the lamp to cool. The lamp  
glass envelope may shatter. Avoid placing near eyes. Hold  
lamp with cloth, tissue or gloved hand. Do not get skin oil  
on the bulb.
