Function Description  
Local Video-Out Port: HD15 female connector.  
Serial Port: The included 3.5 mm Male to DB9 Female adapter cable  
connects here.

Source Video-In Port: HD15 female connector.  
Power LED: Power LED illuminates when unit is receiving power.  
Power Jack: Power plug for 5V 2.0A DC power supply.

Link: RJ-45 Modular Jack which connects the Local Unit and the  
Remote Unit.  
Serial Port: The included 3.5 mm Male to DB9 Male adapter cable  
connects here.

Remote Video-Out Port: HD15 female connector.  
EQ Adjustment: Adjust equalization length.  
Gain Adjustment: Adjust brightness.

Note: You should test to make sure the entire installation works properly before pulling  
cables through ceilings/walls.  
Connect the HD15 port on the computer to the Sorce Video port on the  
Local Unit using a VGA cable.  
Connect the included 3.5 mm Male to DB9 Female adapter to the Serial  
port on the Local Unit.

Installation continued  
Connect the DB9 port on the computer to the DB9 port on the adapter  
cable.  
(Optional) Connect a local monitor to the Local Video port on the Local  
Unit using a VGA cable.  
Connect the external power supply to the power jack on the Local Unit  
and plug it into an appropriate power source.  
Connect the RJ45 Link ports of the Local and Remote Units using

Cat5/5e/6 cable.  
Connect the HD15 port on the Remote Unit to a monitor.  
Connect the included 3.5 mm Male to DB9 Male adapter cable to the  
Serial port on the Remote Unit.

Connect the DB9 Male port on the adapter cable to the DB9 port of the  
serial device you are connecting (touch-screen monitor, barcode scanner, etc.)

Connect the external power supply to the power jack on the Remote  
Unit and plug it into an appropriate power source.

Turn the display(s) on first.  
Turn on the computer.  
If the video on your monitor is either too dark or too light, use the Gain  
adjustment on the Remote Unit.

If the video on your monitor is fuzzy, or shows a ghosting effect, use the  
EQ adjustment on the Remote Unit.

Operate this product using only the included external power supply. Use  
of other power supplies could impair performance, damage the product,  
or cause fire.  
Use only recommended accessories to avoid fire, shock or other hazards.  
Unplug this product before cleaning. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. Do  
not use cleaning fluids or aerosols, which could enter the unit and cause  
damage, fire or electrical shock.  
Do not attempt to service this unit. Instead, disconnect it and contact your  
Authorized Reseller or technician.

Use of this equipment in life support applications where failure of this  
equipment can reasonably be expected to cause the failure of the life sup-  
port equipment or to significantly affect its safety or effectiveness is not  
recommended. Do not use this equipment in the presence of a flammable  
anesthetic mixture with air, oxygen or nitrous oxide.  
Warranty  
1-Year Limited Warranty  
TRIPP LITE warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of  
one (1) year from the date of initial purchase. TRIPP LITE’s obligation under this warranty is limited to  
repairing or replacing (at its sole option) any such defective products. To obtain service under this warranty,  
you must obtain a Returned Material Authorization (RMA) number from TRIPP LITE or an authorized  
TRIPP LITE service center. Products must be returned to TRIPP LITE or an authorized TRIPP LITE  
service center with transportation charges prepaid and must be accompanied by a brief description of the  
problem encountered and proof of date and place of purchase. This warranty does not apply to equipment  
which has been damaged by accident, negligence or misapplication or has been altered or modified in any  
way.  
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, TRIPP LITE MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,  
INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR  
PURPOSE. Some states do not permit limitation or exclusion of implied warranties; therefore, the aforesaid  
limitation(s) or exclusion(s) may not apply to the purchaser.  
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, IN NO EVENT WILL TRIPP LITE BE LIABLE FOR DIRECT,  
INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE  
USE OF THIS PRODUCT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.  
Specifically, TRIPP LITE is not liable for any costs, such as lost profi ts or revenue, loss of equipment, loss  
of use of equipment, loss of software, loss of data, costs of substitutes, claims by third parties, or otherwise.
