Do not use this monitor near water - for example, near a kitchen sink, in a wet
basement or near a swimming pool - unless the monitor is specifically marked “For
Use in Wet Locations.”
Accessories
Do not place this monitor on an unstable cart, stand, table, or mount. The monitor
may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to the moni-
tor. Use only with a mount recommended by Pelco. When mounting the monitor,
follow Pelco’s installation instructions, and use only mounting accessories recom-
mended by Pelco.
Cart & Stand
A monitor and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive
force, and uneven surfaces may cause the monitor and cart combination to over-
turn.
Ventilation
Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable
operation of the monitor and to protect it from overheating. These openings must
not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the

Power-Cord Protection
Power cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched
by items placed upon or against them. When routing power cords, pay attention to
cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the
monitor.
Overloading
Do not connect more power plugs to one outlet than it can safely handle. This may
overload wall outlets and extension cords and can result in a risk of fire or electric
shock.
Object and Liquid Entry
Never push objects of any kind through openings in this monitor as they may touch
dangerous voltage points or “short-out” electrical parts and could result in a fire or
electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the monitor.
Servicing
Do not attempt to service this monitor yourself. Opening or removing covers may
expose you to dangerous voltages or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified
service personnel.
Damage Requiring Servicing
Unplug this monitor from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified service
personnel under the following conditions:
a. When the power cord or plug is damaged.
b. If liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the monitor.
c. If the monitor is not marked “Suitable for Wet Locations” and it has been ex-
posed to rain or water.
d. If the monitor does not operate normally by following the operating instruc-
tions, adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions.
Improper adjustment of other controls may result in damage and may require
extensive work by a qualified technician to restore the monitor to its normal
operation.
WARNING: This prod-
uct has been evaluated
for INDOOR USE ONLY
unless it bears the mark-
ing “For Use in Wet Lo-

must be sent to a quali-
fied service person for

When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used
replacement parts specified by Pelco or have the same characteristics as the origi-
nal part. Improper substitutions may result in fire, electric shock, or other hazards.

4.0 OPERATION
The center detent position on all front panel controls is the normal setting; a subcontrol
is provided for presetting each control. The subcontrol adjustments should be ad-
justed by a qualified service technician only.
There are no external vertical or horizontal hold controls. The monitor contains
circuitry to lock the synchronization internally.
To operate the monitor:
Refer to Figure 2 for the location of the front panel controls.
1. Turn on the POWER switch; LED indicator will light. Allow the monitor to warm
up for about 30 seconds.
2. Adjust the PHASE control to the center detent position. If necessary, for best
tint adjustment, rotate the PHASE control to obtain the desired picture.
NOTE: Overdrive of the white por-
tions of the video, sufficient to cause
blooming, can significantly shorten
the service life of the CRT. Always
adjust the BRIGHT and CON-
TRAST controls to the center de-
tent position or towards a minimum
setting to enhance monitor life ex-
pectancy.
3. Adjust the CHROMA control to the center detent position. The monitor screen
should provide a color image. If the image requires more color saturation,
rotate the control clockwise. If colors appear too saturated, adjust the control
counterclockwise.
4. Adjust the BRIGHT and CONTRAST controls to the center detent position. If
dark scene areas require enhancement, the BRIGHT control can be rotated
clockwise. If the “black level,” which determines the darkest portion of the pic-
ture, appears too light, rotate the BRIGHT control counterclockwise.
